Candida Elimination Program

Candida, or candida albicans, is a yeast that is commonly found in the human body.  Normally, you would never even be aware of its presence.  But when candida is allowed to grow unchecked, it can overpopulate the body and cause a number of adverse side effects and symptoms. In addition, as it grows out of balance it can produce waste that is toxic to the body.  Candida overgrowth is associated with a number of conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine headaches, leaky gut syndrome, and allergies.  The best way to get rid of candida and reestablish the balance of microflora in your body is to follow a candida elimination program for several months.  Here’s what that entails:

Lifestyle Changes

Medications:  One of the primary causes of candida overgrowth is the use of certain medications such as antibiotics and the birth control pill.  These drugs alter the balance of microflora in the digestive tract and allow candida to grow and overpopulate the system.  So if you are on a course of antibiotics wait until you have finished before trying a candida elimination program.  And if you are using the birth control pill, talk with your health care provider about other alternatives.

Stress Reduction: Emotional stress can weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to a candida infection.  Before you begin your candida elimination program, take steps to reduce the stress in your life.  Yoga, meditation, and relaxation breathing techniques can all work wonders at helping you refocus and regenerate your thoughts, as can simply going for a walk in the evenings or taking a hot bath.  Find what works best for you to reduce stress and reduce your susceptibility to candida overgrowth.
Dietary Changes

The primary components to any candida elimination program are the dietary restrictions.  Unfortunately, candida feed on the very foods that you eat.  And their favorites (sugary foods and starchy foods) are likely your favorites.  But the only way to truly rid yourself of excess candida is to remove its food supply.  To accomplish this, there are a number of foods that you will need to eliminate from your diet.

Foods To Avoid

Sugar: All foods containing refined or processed sugars should be eliminated. This includes sodas, pastries, cakes, jams, and packaged foods that contain high fructose corn syrup.
Fruit: Even though fruits are healthy foods, they contain sugar that provides food for yeast.  Avoid eating all fruits and drinking fruit juices.
Processed Foods: Processed and pre-packaged foods contain refined flours and yeast.  Avoid all white flour products, such as breads, cereals, pastas and white rice as well as foods such as chips, and crackers.

Fermented Products: Fermented foods and beverages also contain yeast.  Stay away from foods such as blue cheese, soy sauce, vinegar, or fermented breads or beverages such as root beer, wine, or cider.

It’s also a good idea to stay away from all alcohol and caffeinated products as these place excess stress on the immune system and the body, increasing your susceptibility to candida.

Detoxification

Following a restrictive diet will take away the yeasts’ food supply and essentially starve the candida.  Once you have followed the candida elimination program for a week or two, the yeast population should be significantly weakened.  This is a good time to try a detoxification method to thoroughly cleanse the bowels.  Drink plenty of water to help your body detoxify. And increase your consumption of raw vegetables such as celery, peppers, raw garlic, onions, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, turnip, spinach, and kale.  These vegetables give you the vitamins and minerals you need each day and they also inhibit the growth of candida.  Now is also a good time to add an anti-fungal supplement, such as Mycozil, to your diet.  Mycozil contains five powerful anti-fungal ingredients (pau D’ Arco, oregano, active horopito, anise seed, and lemongrass) that work together to reduce yeast as part of your candida elimination program.

Repopulate

The final step in your candida elimination program is to repopulate your system with friendly bacteria.  Adding a probiotic supplement to your diet can help accomplish this goal.  Mycozil also contains Bacillus latersporus, a healthy bacteria that will help reestablish the balance of microflora in your system.

Fungus Research L.L.C. recommends the potent, all natural formula Mycozil for the treatment of yeast infections, athlete's foot fungus, nail fungus, and toenail fungus.  Mycozil is a powerful internal anti-fungal formula, which is highly effective against all fungal infections. The ingredients in Mycozil have been clinically proven against fungal infections.  To read more about Mycozil or to place an order click here…
