White Mountain Remedy for Vaginal Candida Yeast Infections

Go to your local health food store and buy “White Mountain Brand yogurt” Make sure it is PLAIN with NO fruit, NO added sugar (milk sugar listed on the carton doesn’t count of course), and NO flavoring in it of ANY type. As far as I know, White Mountain brand is only made in regular and low fat without any of these added ingredients. White Mountain brand yogurt is rich in active bacterial cultures. If you can’t find this brand then make sure that whatever type yogurt you buy has “ACTIVE CULTURES” listed on its container. While you’re at the store buy a box of tampons to go with the yogurt. When you get home, take one of the tampons and dip it into the yogurt and insert it into the vagina, allowing it to stay in place for at least an hour or so. This will deliver active bacterial cultures right where they are need and it feels soothing and cool to the irritated area. Putting the “GOOD” bacteria into this area will calm the area.

How does it work?

The “GOOD” bacteria will colonize the area and compete with the yeast fungus for nutrients and water. This “starves” the “BAD” yeast fungi and they will not be able to reproduce eventually eliminating the out of control spread of the yeast infection.

I have of many people trying this for vaginal yeast infections and it seems to be a viable home remedy. Many years ago people used remedies such as this for many different physical ailments before the advent of the strong medications. If this home remedy doesn’t work for you after 3-4 days, you may need a stronger option.

Many health food stores also carry all-natural vaginal suppositories with herbs. There are also homeopathic remedies. Make sure while doing any vaginal yeast infection remedy that you follow a strict low sugar diet. Remember, yeast feeds on sugar so cut the desserts, fruit, and simple carbohydrates like refined flours.
